Westkana Okay. XD My most favorite lines are probably in the first chorus (starting from the "mada tarinakute" part) because I like how it sounds in Japanese. I also blame that secret track from OOR's Ambitions album which uses similar lines a lot. It just sounds super beautiful. XD
Anyway, I really love this single. I like the rain theme hehe. After Rain -Scarlet Version- is my favorite track, I think the new arrangement is beautiful. This is the kind of song that I would listen to if I'm feeling down.
Aside the drum beats, I also love the violin parts. It reminds me of ONE too, and also Spica. The lyrics have a similar message. I couldn't help but smile when I listen to this version of After Rain. I really loved the original version but this new arrangement is much better imo. Also wondering why Scarlet haha
janerudesu That's too bad. I hope you can visit us more often soon.
Your opinion is so the opposite of what Westkana said, haha. I really have to check the original version soon. She has been rearranging her old songs in the new singles. It's an interesting way to introduce her old works to new fans.
janerudesu I see. I'm biased towards slower, sad songs so I don't know which one I'll like, lol. I'm good with that kind of pattern, personally speaking. Throw one album in between some singles and we'll get ourselves a decent, regular flow of Aimer's music. :3
Enjoy the break! I do hope you can still visit us once in a while even when uni starts again.
Migi Honestly even until now, I still don't really get it. It seems like a bunch of random footages being rendered into one for the sake of "art". My friend said that it's "so Sia" because yes, Sia often makes MVs that have nothing to do with the actual lyrics and they're always borderline creepy.
Some people see that it's a metaphor of two angels who can't be together... or that's how I remember it. AND SOMEONE TAKES IT EVEN DEEPER BUT I KINDA AGREE WITH THEIR OPINION:
Personally, I think it's just a simple love story between two HS girls who can't be together because of Japanese society who can't fully embrace same-sex relationships (and the lyrics somehow fit in here, angsty love song). Majority of Japanese people don't mind same-sex couples considering how many yaoi/yuri stuff out there ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), but they still can't legally be together or walk hand in hand in public without being ashamed. A few months ago, there was the first gay couple who got a permission to adopt a kid and it was HUGE. Everybody was talking about it.
You can find the MV on Youtube as well, although it isn't subbed:
To answer your question; yes, I'm still listening to it, but I listen to Raining more. Polaris even more. I listen to her for every single day, told you she's like rice for an Asian like me.
