Only ref:rain is released, though. I'm going to wait until I get the CD to listen to the full songs but I'm glad it's finally out. Aimer seems to be getting high on the charts these days so I really hope this release helps her out! What's everyone's favorite song from the single so far?

Migi haha the waiting makes the listening experience even better  Angel the only one I've listened to so far is Ref:rain, which is great. The song lyrics you showed up above seem really interesting though!

rina I hope you'll enjoy the songs in the single so the wait is worth it! :3 Here comes my first impression of the single. Except for ref:rain, I have only listened to the other songs once. (1) ref:rain > I like this kind of ballad song, especially for the instrumental. I said it many times before, I think, haha. It's simple but hits deep, makes you feel happy and sad just like what the lyrics want to say. The notes are not very challenging, though, so I guess it's a matter of feeling the song. (2) Mabayui bakari > Very interesting arrangement. The instrumental grabs my attention for being unique but fun. I think this is the first time Aimer has this kind of song? Hard to explain, but I like it. Sometimes I think Aimer takes a breath cutting the words in a weird way, but otherwise a solid performance. (3) After Rain -Scarlet ver.- > I can't recall if I've heard of the original song, but this arrangement is also beautiful! I feel that the song wants to cheer me up, which is perfect for the title of 'after the rain'. (4) Raining > Unlike Angel, this is my least favorite song of the single. I mentioned this when I found the original song back then. I feel that this is less Aimer's problem and more the original arrangement's problem. I don't really like how the notes are arranged. I think it's weird, there is no specific pattern with repetitive notes. In my eyes, the lyrics are actually sad. The 'cutting my arm' part sounds almost like suicide attempt? :x Maybe that's just me, though. I look forward to reading everyone's impressions on the single too!  --- Based on the staff's tweet, ref:rain is #3 on iTunes chart following Yuzu Genema's Lemon and ONE OK ROCK's Change. It's also the #1 on mora's list. I suppose this is for the most played new songs?

^Yes I believe it is for most played new songs. Ref:rain- I overall liked this song! It has a really relaxing feel to it (as do many of her songs), like just sitting by a window just watching rain fall. I also really like when she sings "ame no naka" in the choruses, it sounds really cool XD. The strings in the bridge and down chorus also add to it ^w^ 眩いばかり (Mabayui Bakari)- This song seems like Re:far with electronica XD. I don't remember who it said it was composed by, but they certainly have a pretty different style from Aimer After Rain ~scarlet ver.~- Not bad, but overall I prefer the original from After Dark over this version. Here it just seems they turned the drums up to 11, especially the hi-hats XD. I guess this version has more of a bouncy feel to it compared to the original. Don't know why they called it scarlet version though XD Raining- This song truthfully sounds like it should've been on DAWN XD. That's not a bad thing, though, DAWN is probably my favorite album after the masterpiece that is daydream. I think this song has a solid second place spot after Ref:rain for me in this single. Overall, a pretty good single like all of its fellow post-daydream singles (if you ignore ONE). ^w^ And now that there's been technically 7 A-sides (4 singles) since daydream, perhaps that means a new album is just around the corner?  |

Westkana If we talk about the lyrics of ref:rain, I'm more intrigued by the lines "wanna sleep in your feel, wanna see you in the deep". I wonder what it exactly means. On mabayui bakari, haha, I didn't think it sounded like re:far! I can see it now that you said it, though. XD It's composed by Cocco. 'Raining' in this single is also actually her song. Aimer did a cover for it. Unique style indeed if we look at these two songs. It's not love on the first hear for me, but I can get used to it. xD Why did you ignore ONE, though? xD And I'm pretty sure we'll get an album this year. YESSSS

Migi I was mainly talking purely about the sound of "ame no naka", I can't understand Japanese XD (though I do know that means "in the rain"). But those lyrics are interesting (And about ONE, It's a bit too mainstream J-pop for my tastes... I'm sure if I go a live though it would be a fun song to hear)
