All the covers for her best selection albums feature a cat. (Amazing colors, by the way.) She even posted the shooting session of the cats on her official Twitter. She must have really loved cats. Or is there a specific meaning about this? I only know that black cats bring bad omen, but that can't be what she wants to deliver here.

i'm a dog person, so... but i guess that japanese people have always worship cats, right?! you can see that from manga to anime, kitty too, and in the real world... Aoshima Island is one perfect example. and what about Maneki-neko? could it have something to do with it?

Haha, I'm not really sure. I mean, Hachiko is a very popular inspirational story, so I think both may be equal. Aimer, specifically, seems to be very fond of cats. Maybe she really likes them? But cats maybe hold more mythical stories and power compared to dogs.

tsubagakure But black dogs normally bring bad luck, no? I find it an interesting concept to release two albums at once, black and white, with black going for the powerful songs and white for the ballad ones.
