I have just realized this as I searched for and posted the information about Aimer's albums, track lists, and lyrics. She uses a lot of words or contexts related to the nature, especially sun, star, sky, and the passage of day (such as daydream and dawn). Do you think this is intended? What could be the reason?

that's a good question... only Aimer could really answer it, but in my analysis i feel like it is deep rooted in all Japanese people, one way or the other... meaning Shintoism and even Buddhism discipline; seeing god, kami-sama, in nature all around us - accepting and learning to comprehend the universe as it is. the land, mountains and rocks and insects; the sky, clouds and rain and plumes; the water, rivers and fish and the ocean; the whole universe and its stars.

Very interesting theory, thanks for sharing! Japanese can be pretty religious despite not looking like one, if I can be honest. I'm glad to see Aimer having the same approach! I also think that it may have to do with her insomniac condition. When you can't go to sleep, one of the things you can do is look outside and see the nature around, which mostly consist of the sky, stars, moon, sun, and the colors of the sky.

I think Aimer's recurring theme is implied the strongest here: "Red string of fate" is also very popular among Japanese people. As someone who grows with East Asian culture, I believe in it too. PS. This is one of the reasons why I love Aimer, because she loves what I love (Tumblr will write this as "my aesthetic" haha).

Angel Good point! That is certainly possible. I found more info about this song at the Lyrical Nonsense website. The 'original' Kachou Fuugetsu is written like this: 花鳥風月 (literal meaning: Flower, Bird, Wind, Moon). It is a Japanese proverb meaning "experience the beauties of nature, and in doing so learn about yourself". Aimer's version of Kachou Fuugetsu is written like this: 歌鳥風月. The first letter is different. Aimer replaces the first kanji with the kanji of 'song', so the meaning of Aimer's Kachou Fuugetsu becomes 'Song, Bird, Wind, Moon'. I conclude that Aimer learns about herself through music and nature which is probably the reason why she often uses natural images in her songs.

Migi That's correct! Some time ago someone Japanese mentioned it on that video, but sadly I can't find the comment anymore uhh... It can also be that Aimer simply loves these symbolic forms of seasons, colors, galaxies, and nature. I find them to be very beautiful and calming. A bit off topic, but there's an artist called Sleeping at Last who's been my muse for years and he's just the male equivalent of Aimer. I consider this to be his most popular song (not my #1, but definitely top 3):

Angel I agree with your comments on nature! Japan's four seasons are some of the best things they have. I have only seen spring and summer, but both are beautiful and charming in their own way. I can understand why she feels inspired. I wonder if Aimer is going to add a new theme someday. Thanks for the video! Interesting music there. Reminds me of the Planet series by Gustav Holst. It's a classical piece, but the songs are powerful and leave me in awe. I feel like looking at the planets in a different way, lol.
