Based on the news article on her official website, if I inferred correctly from the Google translate version, ONE has been selected as the featured song in JAL's advertisement video for Japanese athletes who will participate in the upcoming Olympics 2018 in Pyeongchang, South Korea. A very good choice, in my opinion. The song message has been very uplifting and positive which is the message appropriate to support the athletes and be targeted for everyone, really. I guess I'm also kind of surprised that JAL chooses Aimer's song again. If I remember correctly, their last ad also featured Aimer's March of Time, no? Whatever the reason is, more power for Aimer means a happy and proud fan!

And now it will used for the Olympics Seriously I'm happy with all the attention she has been receiving. Looking forward to the release of the CM.

kyuri janerudesu Looking forward to the video as well! Maybe I'll be watching just to see if they play Aimer's song somewhere along the way, haha. I'm also happy that she has been chosen for events like this. Her works reaching out to people beyond the music industry and fans is always a good thing.

janerudesu How did I miss your post? Thanks a lot for sharing! Here are the direct videos: I personally think those are too short, lol. They only feature the intro to the song. I like the closing lines (行くぞ、世界へ) and how it ties to the lyrics of the song ("raise your flag, rushing out to rising sun"). Certainly makes you feel pumped for battle!

tsubagakure I moved your posts here since you are discussing Hana no Uta. The other thread was for Brave Shine. Yup, not a dream! It's always a delight to see your favorite artists work together, so this one is a nice surprise. As much as Kajiura Yuki's style can get repetitive at times, I think she really knows how to harmonize and combine the notes. Aimer's voice matches her style well.

And "rushing out to rising sun" just screams Japan. I guess that is one of the reasons why JAL chose ONE.
