I was reading Aimer's official Twitter when I noticed that she posted a new diary entry which is only accessible to the fan club members. It kind of makes me sad that it's so hidden from public view, but I can understand why. She'd want to share her important feelings with those important to her.
Any of you happen to be a member of the fan club? Is it possible for foreigners to be a member?

I remember I tried to join a couple years ago. Though I haven't tried since, I remember there was a fee and that's what drove me off from joining (I'm broke, ya see? XD) I think foreigners are allowed to join, but don't take my word for it, it's been at least 2.5 years and my memory is fuzzy

Westkana That's interesting! Would you mind sharing a more detailed story, as far as you remember? XD I think the last time I wanted to try to sign up I didn't see any button to register or something. Plus there is no way to translate the page even using Google Translate, so I just gave up, lol. I wonder if wildthing is a blanc et noir club member?

Looking at it again (note: on mobile, may be slightly different on PC)- there should be a button that says "ログイン" on the main blanc and noir page- then on that page to join, press the button *next* to the "ログイン" button. Note: here's the fee I was talking about, it's 300 yen a month +tax. It'll then prompt you to send an email to an email address it provides. I'm gonna stop there because I dont want my empty wallet to be charged 300 yen a month XD

Hi, most fan clubs are generally for Japanese fans only as they may have communication/payment issues etc.
I currently haven’t joined blanc et noir as I have already joined 3 other fan clubs before I followed aimer. Also I have already had a few clashes of events as I follow quiet a few artists etc CD releases are often on the same day etc.
With regards to joining some fan clubs require a Japanese mobile number, some allow payment via your smartphone contract or Japanese credit card, the payment gateway might not accept non Japanese credit cards, as accepting foreign cards might cost them more fees. For the smaller fan clubs payment might be cash at events/postal payment or direct wiring of money, which would be extremely difficult for overseas fans!
Aimer’s Fan club payment is by: spモード決済. NTT docomo auかんたん決済 au ソフトバンクまとめて支払い Softbank クレジットカード Credit card

Westkana Thank you! I'll check it out again later. I'm curious what we actually get from paying 300 yen a month. The only things I know are special views on Aimer's personal diary and advance pre-sale tickets. wildthing Ah, don't worry about it. It must be confusing when the artists you follow have activities on the same day, lol. It's too bad that such clubs are rarely friendly for international fans, given how anime is reaching out worldwide and their international concerts are also full with audiences.

Who won't be happy to receive a birthday greeting from Aimer, though I bet it's an automated one, lol. Illustrations and lyrics also sound very cool. I wonder what net radio actually is. I know that Aimer occasionally stars as a guest in some radio programs. Is this a separate event? Thanks so much for your translations!

It's too bad that such clubs are rarely friendly for international fans, given how anime is reaching out worldwide and their international concerts are also full with audiences. re: Supporting international fans, there are some fan clubs that do cater for International Fan, but unfortunately Aimer fan base is not that big yet. Fan base needs to grown and then they would have to have additional staff to cater for the foreign fans. Then you also have to deal with distribution rights/licensing/copyright etc. It starts getting rather complicated. i.e. If they offer fan club members tickets, but the overseas fans can't even sign up for a Japanese ticket office account because they live overseas etc. They they will probably have to do ticketing in house etc. Then they have to worry about payment/fraud etc. Birthday message, maybe a card, often it might be a postcard printed or maybe signed, then they will have to deal with international post etc. Do they up the fees for all fans etc? (BTW the 300yen plus tax is very common, of the smartphone fanclubs I have joined they are all 300yen + tax, of one of the band, they have an additional annual fee fanclub so you get quarterly magazines and a birthday postcard, even better ticket perks and other perks) One thing aimer's fanclub is a smartphone fanclub, so they would normally only test on Japanese smartphones which in particular for Android phones there might be some other DRM/content management being used which will not function on non Japanese phones. (NOTE: even the Japanese iPhone is different to the ones sold overseas) So you can see from Aimer's management point of view unless there is A LOT of international fans its going to take a while for it to go International.
