The Japanese band androp is going to release a new album next month titled "Cocoon". From the official 12 songs included, one is a duet with Aimer. The song is named Memento Mori. This appears to be the snippet of the song: http://instagram.com/p/Bffq7k8HFMa The comment of the post above says that we can see androp singing in one speaker and Aimer singing in the other as the two of them create one whole picture of the song. The recording didn't show that yet, but let's look forward to the official release. The album will be out on March 7, 2018. Takahito Uchizawa from androp previously worked together with Aimer on her album "daydream", producing "twoface" and "Kataomoi". Source: aimer.nzk @ Instagram, natalie.mu

Aimer is so productive. A single release, a duet, live sessions, tons of collaborations and guest appearances. Thumbs up.
I can't wait to hear the full song. It's the type of duet that I really like, as if the man and woman are talking to each other the way it is arranged. I had hoped for this kind of duet with OOR's Taka in daydream, but who am I to complain~ I also hope for more variation in the song itself. The preview is a bit boring. The concept of different lyrics to make up one whole story is also fun.

angelbeat The album will be released soon, so you don't have to wait for long. :3 I can understand why you said it's boring. I guess it's the laid-back type of song. Repetitive notes meant to make the song simple to listen, so people can pay attention to the lyrics (probably). Too bad they only work on one song, I wanted more. #greedy

The song has been released today (March 7) and it's available on some music streaming platforms. I haven't found a video on YouTube, so here's a link from Spotify:

This song is really unique, I can see what they mean by "2 sides of a story" with completely different tracks on left and right. I like how it sounds but it would be great if it wasn't completely on one side, very weird to hear the unbalance but need to get used to that I guess. Also the song is almost 9 minutes!

I agree with you Roz, its kinda weird, but i loved the song and the concept they put into it, making it literaly 2 sides. In the end, felt like i was on a trip, i wish i could understand japanese it would make even more interesting. What a good piece.

veiko yeah I can only hope to read the translation to read the story. It's times like this that I wish I studied Japanese 😢 I'm sure that listening to the individual sides might reveal a whole different prospective between the 2 singers, then the whole story when combined. At least that's what I think.

Roz veiko Lyrical Nonsense has the romaji ready > www.lyrical-nonsense.com/lyrics/androp/memento-mori-with-aimer/ > but the English translation is still on the way. I hope it comes soon! I can't say that I like it just yet. The melody is calming, but I feel impatient when the song is 9 minutes long lol. I often find Japanese songs lasting more than 5 minutes and honestly that's asking too much sometimes. I prefer they keep it short and beautiful. Though the 9 minutes is probably related to the story they want to tell.

Migi 5-6 mins is completely normal... But 9 mins!? That's a first I've seen for a song xD I got shocked. 9 mins is definitely wayyyy to long I mean I do understand the atmosphere they're trying to achieve it would have been much better if they kept the song maxed at 7 mins

A teaser video for the song. Looks like an MV for the song is being prepared. Roz I usually get a bit impatient if a song goes more than 4 minutes. It usually has too many repetitions or too much instrumental session. It took me a while to warm up to Aimer's long songs.
