janerudesu Thank you so much! It's so pretty that I stared at your post for a while, lol. Angel Thank you for sharing! Different people have different translations. I'm still figuring out what the song means in relation to the anime, but there's only one episode out and I can hardly guess. We'll see. :3 Enjoy the anime!

Migi I can somehow drag a conclusion; bittersweet love, can't help but falling in love, and things like that. I can't wait for the full track!

Enigma Blue I see. It must be the Japan iTunes store then. I saw the link on her official website, so I forgot that it might not be instantly available worldwide. Only the TV size is sold for now, 250 yen if I remember correctly. I don't know, can you access the song if you change your store location to Japan? I think After Dark is the first album Polaris appeared in. But yes, her Best albums are worth buying because they contain her best ones plus some new songs. I was able to access the Japanese store, but I unfortunately couldn't purchase it. Polaris was on After Dark first, but that one isn't on iTunes either. I probably could've bought a physical copy if I looked hard enough, though. Not sure.

Angel Yes, I think that's the direction of the song. I'm still wondering about this part: Maybe it will make more sense if we see more of the story. It gives the impression that they may be together for a while but then break up for some reason, haha. Also rina I think the translation 'dazzling only' sounds kinda weird when you take it just like that. The 'bakari' part usually have the impression that no matter what happens, it always look in a certain way to someone. So I think the title 'mabayui bakari' wants to say that even though someone/something has some bad sides, it always seem dazzling to the singer. Enigma Blue That's weird. I never really understood how these music app stores work, so I'm sorry I couldn't help you.

Migi The story of the anime is about a HS girl falling in love with a divorced 45-year-old man who has a son. In Japan and I believe many other countries especially Asian, that's greatly unacceptable because of the obvious age gap. Your family, friends, teachers, neighbors, 99% of everyone who knows you will ridicule you. I can tell that the girl simply falls for the "wrong" person in society's eyes, yet she can't help but "daydream" about him/their relationship. Her love for him makes her lose focus on everything else. You know, all the things that people do when they have someone special on their mind. The OP also has the same theme as Ref:Rain. Maybe it will make more sense if we see more of the story. It gives the impression that they may be together for a while but then break up for some reason, haha. This could happen for sure, we'll see!

Heh, I forgot the TV size out recently >.<. I liked it, I could see the chorus really easily getting stuck in my head. It sounds similar to one of her older ballads in the melody, but more like her more modern poprock style in the arrangement.

Westkana The chorus is already stuck in my head! I find myself humming the melody without realizing it, lol. I agree with you that the arrangement is one of the most interesting aspects. I like when the beats hit hard and deep like that. It adds more power to sad songs like this.

眩いばかり (mabayui bakari)
mabayui is dazzling/flamboyant, bakari is attached to a verb as "just" "approx" "only"
so translation would be something like "just dazzling"
(is there a way to turn on email notification, so I can reply quicker, sorry been busy to login)
